The Chevrolet Beat Diesel is expected to load with 1.0L TCDi SMARTECH diesel engines, which will have capacity to churn out the maximum power of 57@4000 rpm and peak torque of 150 Nm@1750 rpm. The Chevrolet Beat Diesel has got refined interior and exterior looks.

According to the ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) reports, the new Chevrolet Beat Diesel gives 24kmpl on Indian roads, so customers need to worry about the fuel economy. The General Motors Talegoan plant has taken the responsibility to fabricate the Chevrolet Beat Diesel Engines.
The President and Managing Director of General Motors India Mr. Karl Slym said "With fluctuation in fuel prices in India from time to time, the new diesel Beat, the prices of which will be announced at the launch will revolutionise the small car segment, with its engine capacity and fuel economy."
